Order must also include how the specimen was collection; Voided, Random, First Morning, CCMS, Pediatric Bag, Indwelling Catheter, Straight, Mini and In/Out Catheters, Supra Pubic, Cysto Collection

Fill to the fill line of the grey top tube when transfering from the collection cup to the grey top tube.

Colony counts are provided.
Isolation of clinically significant organisms will be performed.
Antimicrobial susceptibility of significant isolates may be performed. Foley tips are not acceptable for culture.
No growth results available at approximately 18 hours.
Most pathogens will have identification by 24 hours.
Indwelling catheters often become colonized. Culture results from these specimens may be misleading.
