Collection Instructions
Adequate samples from endocervix, ectocervix, and vagina should be smeared thinly and evenly on one glass slide and fixed immediately by spraying fixative or immersing in 95% alcohol.
Make sure to avoid air-drying
All cytology specimens must be labeled with the Patient's Name, Idendification Number,Physician, and source of specimen
Site/Source must be written on the container and requisition.
Order must include patients LMP, age, and other significant history.
