100.0 mL CCMS Urine in a Sterile Conatainer.

Collection Instructions

First Morning, Clean Catch Midstream ,  samples preferred

To properly collect a CCMS specimen: (See Addendum D for the Patients Instructions for CCMS Collection)

1. Wash hands with soap and water. 
2. Using the antiseptic skin towelettes provided, cleanse the genital area three times

3. Begin urination into toilet.  As urination continues, bring container into the stream, to obtain a clean voided specimen.  
4. Do not touch the inside of the container. 
5. Screw cap on container.  Do not touch the inside of the cap. 

First morning CCMS urine preferred

Order must include how the specimen was collection; Voided, Random,  First Morning, CCMS,  Pediatric Bag, Indwelling Catheter, Straight, Mini and In/Out Catheters, Supra Pubic, Cysto Collection
