2.0 mL Plasma in a Amber Plastic Vial from a Green Top Tub - Na Heparin 

Collection Instructions:

Collect blood sample wrap with foil

Separate plasma by centrifugation. Avoid hemolysis.

Remove plasma to a light-protected Amber tube. 

Freeze immediately after separation.

Minimum Volume: 0.4 mL Plasma

Porphyrin fractionation of plasma is useful in diagnosing certain types of porphyrias and excluding porphyrias in patients with chronic renal failure suspected of having a porphyria
