Critical Ranges:  
Test Comments: Patients taking vitamin supplements containing high doses of biotin (>5 mg/day) may have falsely increased test results generated.

Clinical Significance:  
Documentation: Patients undergoing DHEA supplementation as a part of an IVF treatment plan may have falsely elevated progesterone values.  An alternate method such as Liquid Chromatography-Mass Spectroscopy (LC/MS) should be used to measure progesterone concentrations in these patients
