Specimen Requirements:

1.0 mL Serum from a Red Top Tube in a Plastic Vial
Minimum Volume:
0.25 mL Serum*
Neonatal Volume:
0.3 mL Whole Blood Red Microtainer (No Gel)*

* This volume does not allow for repeat testing

Collection Instructions:

Peak = Post and/or After Dose

Specimens should be drawn at 30 minutes after 1 hour IV infusion

 


Rejection Criteria:

Gel Barrier Tube (SST or PST)


Transport and Storage:
  • Ambient (18-24°C): 48 Hours
  • Refrigerated (2-8°C): 14 Days
  • Frozen (-20° C or colder): 12 Months

Clinical Interpretation

Reference Range:

30 - 40 ug/mL


Critical Ranges:

> 40 ug/mL
