Specimen Requirements: 1.0 mL Serum in a SST Gold Top Tube
Collection Instructions:  
Minimum Volume: 0.3 mL
Transport & Storage: Temperature/Stability: 48 hours Refrigerated

Specimen to be transported Refrigerated to PRMC within 48 hours of collection to be frozen by Immunology department to maintain specimen integrity until testing occurs. Do not transport Frozen.
Reference Range:
OD ratio < 0.90 indicates no detectable Rubeola IgG antibody. No evidence of infection or immunity.
 
OD ratio 0.91 - 1.09 is equivocal for Rubeola, IgG antibody. Suggest a new specimen be collected and re-tested.
 
OD ratio > 1.10 is positive for Rubeola, IgG antibody. In asymptomatic patients, including prnatal screens, a positive value is consistent with previous infection or immunity.
