Test Comments:
Use of fulvestrant (Faslodex®) may cause falsely elevated estradiol results. Estradiol (LC/MS) should be used to measure estradiol concentrations in cases where fulvestrant is being administered.
Patients taking vitamin supplements containing high doses of biotin (>5 mg/day) may have falsely increased test results generated.
