Methodology: DNA Probe
Clinical Significance: The three main categories of vaginitis are bacterial vaginosis (BV), yeast vaginitis (candidiasis), and T. vaginalis vaginitis (trichomoniasis). This test will detect all Three agents from a single swab specimen. The swab is a special collection device called the AFFIRM(TM) VPIII Ambient Temperature Transport System.
