Collection Instructions

Order should include whether it should be drawn Upright or Supine (Supine patient to lie down for 30 minutes)

Centrifuge and separate blood at room temperature - Then freeze immediately (within 23 hours of collection)

Avoid refrigeration to eliminate cryoactivation of prorenin to renin
