Specimen Requirements:
1.0 mL Serum from a Red Top Tube in a Plastic Vial
Collection Instructions:
Optimum time to collect sample: 0.5 to 1 hour before next dose (trough) at steady-state (3-5 days after treatment with oral doses).
Serum: Collect blood in plain red-top (no-gel) tube. Allow blood to clot at 15-28 degrees C for 20-30 minutes. Centrifuge at
20-25 degrees C (2200-2500 rpm, 1000 x g) for 8-10 minutes. Transfer serum to polypropylene or polyethylene transport tube.
Ship refrigerated (cold packs). Samples left at room temperature for more than 3 days are not acceptable.
