Patient Preparation:  
Specimen Requirements: 0.5 mL Plasma from a Green Top Tube - Na Heparin in a Plastic Vial
Collection Instructions: Centrifuge the Na Hep tube as soon as possible. 
Transfer plasma to plastic vial and mark as plasma. 

Do NOT send whole blood.
Minimum Volume: 0.3 mL Plasma
Transport & Storage: Temperature/Stability: 7 days Refrigerated
Reference Range: 11 - 20 pg/mL                            
Critical Ranges:  
Test Comments: This is a C-terminal PTH-RP assay.   Elevated results may be observed in patients with renal disease.
Methodology: Immunoassay
Clinical Significance: Differential diagnosis of hypercalcemia; manage patients with solid tumors and hypercalcemia.
