Patient Preparation:  
Specimen Requirements: Rectal swab using a Copan Liquid Stuart Culture Swab
Collection Instructions: Carefully insert both swab tips approximately 2.5 cm beyond the anal sphincter (so that the swab tip is no longer visible) and gently rotate 3 times to ensure uniform sample on both swabs.  
Place the swab pair back into the original transport tube.
