Collection Instructions: Draw at peak (2-4 hours after dose) or trough (0.5-1 hour before dose) at steady state

Trough levels are more reproducible than peak levels.

Critical Ranges:  
Test Comments: Pediatric patients have 50% higher clearance and shorter elimination half-life than adults. Consequently, plasma levels for the same dosage will be lower than for adults.
