Patient should discontinue taking Biotin, Vitamin B7, or Vitamin H 48 hours before getting blood drawn.

Critical Ranges:  
Test Comments: When monitoring patients over time, thyroglobulin antibody values obtained with different methods cannot be used interchangeably, due to the difference in methods and reagent specificity. This test was performed using the Roche Cobas 8000.

Patients taking vitamin supplements containing high doses of biotin (>5 mg/day) may have falsely increased test results generated.
