Patient Preparation: Fasting is recommended but not required
Specimen Requirements: 1.0 mL  Serum from a SST Gold Top Tube 
Collection Instructions:
  1. Collect and label sample according to standard protocols.
  2. Gently invert tube 5 times immediately after draw. DO NOT SHAKE.
  3. Allow blood to clot 30 minutes.
  4. Centrifuge for 10 minutes.

SDMA (Symmetric dimethylarginine) 73-135 ng/mL

Methodology: Tandem Mass Spectrometry (LC-MS/MS)
Clinical Significance: ADMA and SDMA may be measured in individuals with multiple risk factors for the development of cardiovascular disease
