Collect undiluted feces in clean, dry, sterile leak-proof container.
Do not add fixative.

Rejection Criteria:
stool collected in a container with fixative or perservative; Non standard containers provided by the patient from their home

Normal: < 80 mg/g
Borderline: 80 - 160 mg/g
Abnormal: > 160 mg/g

Particle - Enhanced Turbidmetric Immunoassay (PETIA)
Clinical Significance:
Diagnose imflammatory bowel disease (IBD), including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis. Differentiate IBD from irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)
