5 mL unpreserved Stool in a Non-Sterile Yellow Capped Container

Collection Instructions: Transfer liquid or soft stool (but not urine) into the container. 
Avoid mixing toilet paper, or soap with the sample. 

Minimum Volume: 1.0 mL Feces
Transport & Storage: Temperature/Stability: 5 days Refrigerated (store)
30 days Frozen (transport)

Store sample refrigerated until shipment
Rejection Criteria: Specimen other than liquid or semi-formed stool • Stool in preservative or mixed with urine • Specimen in wrong transport container. Stool collected during an endoscopy or colonoscopy procedure with or without wash solution.
