Parkview Laboratory: Test Directory

1. When starting the 24-hour period, urinate and discard (throw-away) this specimen. NOTE THE TIME
2. From that time on, collect all urine by urinating into a clean container and transfer into the provided container. 
DO NOT URINATE DIRECTLY INTO CONTAINER.
3. Try to pass the last urine just prior to the end of the 24 hour period. Add this urine into the container. 
4. Urine Specimen should be kept refrigerated during and after collection.

Random Sodium diet: 

2-7 years: 5.7 or less mcg/24 hr
8-11 years: 10.2 or less mcg/24 hr
12-16 years: 15.6 or less mcg/24 hr

Adults: 2.3-21.0 mcg/24 hr

Post Florinef (TM) or IV saline suppression: 5 mcg/24 hr or less 

Creatinine, 24-Hour Urine:
<3 years: Not established
3-8 years: 0.11-0.68 g/24 hours
9-12 years: 0.17-1.41 g/24 hours
13-17 years: 0.29-1.87 g/24 hours 
Adults: 0.63-2.50 g/24 hours
