Patient Preparation: 12 hour fasting is required
Specimen Requirements: 2.0 mL Serum from a Red Top Tube in a Plastic Vial
Collection Instructions: Fasting Morning collection between 8:00 a.m. and  10:00 a.m.
  *Diurnal variations cause elevated levels at night*

Allow blood to clot 10-15 minutes ambient
Centrifuge and separate, and freeze serum
Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL
Transport & Storage: Temperature/Stability: 3 months Frozen
Rejection Criteria: Moderate to grossly hemolyzed, lipemic or icteric
