Client Notes:  
Patient Preparation: Prior treatment with antibiotics could inhibit or prevent growth of Group B Strep
Specimen Requirements: Aerobic Culture Swab (Red cap w/out gel or Red cap w/ Pledget)
Collection Instructions: Specimen must be collected at 35 to 37 weeks gestation collected from the Vaginal/Rectal area.
1. Using a single swab or two separate swabs, 
2. swab the distal vagina, followed by the rectum (insert swab through the anal sphincter)
3. Place utilized swab(s) in the culture tube 

If patient is allergic to Pencillin please note on the order
