Cover specimen with damp saline covered gauze
Patient Preparation:  
Specimen Requirements: Fresh Tissue/Object removed from patient 
Collection Instructions: All surgical specimens must be labeled with the Patient's Name, Idendification Number,Physician, and source of specimen

Tissue/Object, Site/Source must be written on the container and requisition.

Send Specimen Fresh do not send on formalin
Transport & Storage: Temperature/Stability: Ambient
Reference Range: Refer to Interpretive Pathology Report, Level testing and/or combination Level testing completed will be determined by source and diagnosis
Critical Ranges:  
Test Comments: Rapid H&E Stain will be completed and verbal results will be given; the rest of the specimen will then be processed for the final interpretation

If additional reflex testing is needed turn around time will be delayed
