Clinical Significance:
Brucellosis is caused by transmission from animal to human. Brucella abortus is transmitted from cows. A high titer of IgM suggests recent exposure. A high titer of IgG suggests active infection. A lower titer of IgG may indicate past exposure or treated infection.
