This test is for Pregnant Women between 24 and 36 weeks gestation.
Do not order test if:
gestation <24 weeks or >36 weeks, cervical dilation >3 cm, cervical cerclage, amniotic membranes have ruptured, moderate or gross vaginal bleeding, multiple gestation eg. twins, placenta previa (partial or complete), sexual intercourse in the preceding 24 hours.
