Contact Client Response Center at 260-266-1500 (Option 1) to request the Myoglobin Urine tube with special additive.
Patient Preparation:
Specimen Requirements:
Exactly 4.0 mL random Urine in a Plastic Myoglobin Vial containing additive
Collection Instructions:
Urine must be tranferred to the Myoglobin Vial with 1 hour of collection
Do NOT fill over the 4.0 mL line.
Myoglobin in urine is very unstable unless the pH is between 8.0 to 9.0
Minimum Volume:
4.0 mL

Timed Urine; Received in non-myglobulin transport tube; past stability pH < 8.0; more than Myoglobin transport tube; receved ambient; timed urine
