Specimen Requirements:  7.0 mL Cord Blood in a Pink Top Tube - EDTA
Collection Instructions:

Label specimen with mother's patient's full legal name, date of birth, medical record number and/or social security number, the date and time of the collection, and the phlebotomist's (collector's) initials; and the infants full name and medical record number.

Minimum Volume: 0.5 mL Plasma & 0.5 mL RBC
Transport & Storage: Temperature/Stability: 24 hours Ambient 
72 hours Refrigerated

This Blood Bank test should be performed within 72 hours. If longer than 72 hours patient should be redrawn.

Test Comments: This test is ordered and charged when the Direct Coombs Test (NDAT)  is positive on a cord blood
