Patient Preparation: If possible, patient should discontinue all drugs at least 1 week prior to collection. Some medications known to interfere with assay include: Alpha-methyldopa (Aldomet), Isoproterenol, abetalol, Mandelamine, Metaclopramide, Acetaminophen (high concentrations only), Cimetidine, and Catecholamine-containing drugs, MAO inhibitors, diuretics, vasodilators.
Specimen Requirements: 10.0 mL Urine in a Yellow Capped Tube or Plastic Container (No preservatives)
Minimum Volume: 0.6 mL Urine
