Specimen Requirements:
4.0 mL Supernatant plasma fluid from a Grey Top Tube - Na Flouride K+
Collection Instructions:
4 mL blood collected in a sodium fluoride (gray-top) tube,
drawn from fasting patient without the use of tourniquet
immediately mixed with 4 mL ice-cold 7%-8% (w/v) perchloric acid.
Let mixture stand for 10 minutes and centrifuge.
Submit supernatant fluid for testing
