Specimen to be transported Refrigerated to PRMC within 48 hours of collection to be frozen by Immunology department to maintain specimen integrity until testing occurs. Do not transport frozen.

>80 Units:      Strong Positive

Methodology: EIA
Clinical Significance: A positive result indicates the presence of Jo-1 antibodies and suggests the possibility of polymyositis or other related connective tissue diseases.
