Patient Preparation: Patient should avoid seafood consumption 48 hours prior to specimen collection
Specimen Requirements:
7.0 mL aliquot from Urine collected in an Sterile Gray placed into a metal-free leak-proof container
Collection Instructions: Avoid worksite collection

Urine should be collected in a the Sterile Gray Urine Cup  and then urine is to be placed into a metal-free leak-proof container
Minimum Volume: 3.0 mL Urine
Transport & Storage: Temperature/Stability: 48 hours Ambient

Critical Ranges:  
Test Comments: Tests performed on a specimen submitted in a non-trace element tube or non acid washed/non metal free container may not accurately reflect the patient's level. If a non-trace element tube/container is received, it will be
accepted for testing. However, elevated results shall be reported with a message that a re-submission with a trace element tube/container is recommended.
