Patient should refrain from taking mineral supplements, and multi-vitamins three days prior to specimen collection.
Specimen Requirements:
4.0 mL Whole Blood in a
Navy Blue Top Tube
- EDTA
Collection Instructions:
Avoid contamination, use powderless gloves.
Draw one
Navy Blue Top
with 1.0 to 2.0 mL blood and discard
Fill
Navy Blue Top
label and send for testing.
Minimum Volume:
